"[T]he Democratic Party has received the support of the electorate only when the party, with absolute clarity, has been the champion of progressive and liberal policies and principles of government. The party has failed consistently when through political trading and chicanery it has fallen into the control of those interests, personal and financial, which think in terms of dollars instead of in terms of human values ... The party must go wholly one way or wholly the other." – Roosevelt in letter he planned to deliver if conservatives

One Way or Another
Even the patron saint of the Blue States had the right idea:
"[T]he Democratic Party has received the support of the electorate only when the party, with absolute clarity, has been the champion of progressive and liberal policies and principles of government. The party has failed consistently when through political trading and chicanery it has fallen into the control of those interests, personal and financial, which think in terms of dollars instead of in terms of human values ... We Are Still Top Ten
I was a bit worried that seceding from the Red States might cause a depressed attitude (you know we're number one, we're number one would be over). I found out that we aren't number one after all. We are actually number three. Guess what, when we do secede from the Red States we would still be top ten. Still twice as big as France, and they have awesome healthcare.

We must give the President the freedom to combat global warming in the Blue States. How long can this go one before NYC is covered with water:
It's hard to know how much impact New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg's comments about climate change after Hurricane Sandy had on the US election. It's easy to overestimate that sort of thing, but President Barack Obama's victory in several States was so razor-thin that Mr Bloomberg's last-minute intervention may have been decisive. What's crystal clear is that Mr Obama himself didn't want to talk about it during the campaign.
Mr Bloomberg, responding to the devastation he saw in New York City, laid it on the line. “Our climate is changing. And while the increase in extreme weather we have experienced in New York City and around the world may or may not have been the result of it, the risk that it may be...should be enough to compel all elected leaders to take immediate action.”
The New York Mayor, a former Republican, did not hesitate to assign praise and blame: “Over the past four years, President Barack Obama has taken major steps to reduce our carbon consumption, including setting higher fuel-efficiency standards for cars and trucks. Mitt Romney, too has a history of tackling climate change...He couldn't have been more right. But since then, he has reversed course.”
He said this only five days before the election, in the immediate aftermath of a national calamity that may well have been climate-related. So did Mr Obama pick up the ball and run with it? Certainly not. Apart from a one-liner about how climate change “threatens the future of our children” in a single speech, he remained stubbornly silent.
Get the Word Out!
As a new political party committed to freedom from tyranny it is good to get the word out. Naturally, the Blue States seem to be the most logical place to start. Any slave naturally wants true freedom. Some will argue that we can achieve this through the political process. My question is can we afford the time. Just consider Hurricane Sandy! Can we wait until the Red State obstuctionist in the House of Representives allow New York to be buried under the rising sea levels. Get the word out and end the compromises forced on us by the tyrants of the Red States.
Welcome to the New Abolition Party
Welcome to the New Abolition Party or NAP. This is a grass roots political party committed to freeing the Blue States from Red State tyranny. This tyranny has gone on too long and with the reelection of Barack Obama it appears the these obstructionist Red States are committed more than ever to enslaving the Blue States to their ongoing tyranny. Four more years of compromises on urgent need for free healthcare for all the citizens of the blue states, four more years of allowing guns into citizens hands, four more years of suppressed taxation and four more years of capitalism ruining our economic well being. It is time for a change. We are committed to petitioning the the Red States to allow the Blue States the right to secede.
We feel secession is the only way for the Blue States to stop this injustice. Here are a few of the immediate benefits we can achieve by secession:
1. We most stop Global Warming immediately. We can at least stop the warming caused by the Blue States once and for all.
2. The wage gap can be eliminated for at least half of the current population. Finally, Blue State woman could force employers to pay them equal to their male counterparts.
3. Taxation suppression can be eliminated. The new federal tax in the Blue States could be raised make sure everyone is paying their fair share. Luckily, many of the 1% already live in the Blue States. We could then raises taxes on this group to generate the real revenue required to do good.
4. Healthcare has beed one compromise after another. Finally we can achieve free health care for all of the citizens of the Blue States. A single payer system would finally be achieved.
Please join with us and end the tyranny of the Red States forever.
